Sachin Saroj

My name is Sachin Saroj and I am a professional sports climber from India. I began my climbing journey in 2017, and since I have achieved success in various competitions at both zonal, national, and international levels. I have won a combined 8 national gold medals and 6 national silver medals. Internationally I have qualified every year for the World Cup since 2017 but was unable to represent my country due to financial constraints. I represented India in the Asian Youth Championship in 2023 and held the fifth rank. I have been training consistently for the past seven years in hopes of playing in the LA Olympics 28 however recently, I came down with a shoulder injury that requires surgery and rehabilitation that I am unable to afford. This injury has kept me unable to perform to my full potential and shivers caused countless sleepless nights. Thanks to Project Elevate, I was able to receive treatment for my shoulder, through which I am able to postpone my surgery, allowing me to compete in international competitions this year, including the Asian Youth Cup. However, I am still lacking sufficient funds to be able to fulfill the travel expenses for the competitions and the funds required to complete my shoulder surgery.
